Hello
I'm Daniel, I'm a product designer and I teach
I started my design career working in advertising (art direction work). Since then, I've broadened my talents to product and experience design. For the past 10 plus years, I've worked as an experience designer around the SF Bay Area for tech, eCommerce, and startup companies like Apple, Norton, and Walmart. Recently, I moved to Seattle and started working at Google.

Additionally, I've been teaching for the past four years as an instructor at the Academy of Art University. I teach end-to-end UX design and portfolio review. The students that graduated from my class are now working in major companies like Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, and Walmart. I mentor whenever I can, and I enjoy networking with aspiring and seasoned designers.
My design process
I prefer the end-to-end design. Design is a process that requires us to know the ins and outs of what is the problem. I want to understand why we're designing something.
To do that, I probe to understand who and what our users are searching for. Once I validated our pain points, I focused on solving the problem. With PMs, I help them create outlining product requirement documents, user stories, and road maps.

As the design is manifested, it becomes a multifaceted process. I look at strategies, creative reviews, and testing to ensure the best outcomes. I collaborate with cross-functional teams, ask for feedback, and test out designs early.

Towards the end, I'm looking at how I can support our engineer partners and ensure proper product launches for our users. In production, I measure our success and the outcomes through our analytics. We're creating products that delight our users.
